TD Video is a single user application that runs on one Macintosh only. We're avoiding multiuser systems that work over a network, because they require lots of expensive support. You can purchase a license to use TD Video on one Macintosh, and the license is enforced by a copy protection key that must be plugged into a USB port on that Mac.
The way that TD Video is licensed gives you a unique opportunity. The software can be installed on as many Macs as you want. All of those Macs will run in demo mode. Only the Mac with the copy protection key plugged in is fully functional.
When you're in demo mode you can do everything except create more than 10 plays, and digitize video. You can watch video, you can enter data, and you can view and print scouting reports. Several TD video installations include one fully functional Mac for creating games, plays and digitizing video plus several Macs in demo mode for viewing video.
Games are copied from one machine to another using external hard drives or over a network. Some customers copy to external hard drives and give those to coaches. Some customers copy to internal drives in a laptop. Some copy only selected plays in a game to speed up the copy and use less disk space (cutups).

You can duplicate a single camera high school game in 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the speed of your hardware. That's much faster than copying a game in real time (30 to 40 minutes) and there is no quality loss. You can duplicate portions of a game to go faster and use less disk space.
